I. PLANTING TREES & STORING CARBON

The Green Intelligence links people and companies that want to plant trees in local projects. The motivation for companies and individuals to plant trees can vary between planting trees to recover nature and biodiversity and becoming carbon neutral by compensating their carbon emissions. GI receives compensation for planting these trees from these companies or individuals and uses this income generation to cover the largest part of the implementation and maintenance costs of the productive healthy forest, required for the forest to survive the first 5 years.

II. SUSTAINABLE REVENUE GENERATING PRODUCTS

After year 5 the healthy productive forests start producing enough harvest (high value products) to generate revenue for local communities. The Green Intelligence cooperation buys back the products of the different projects and sells it to relevant markets. By assembling the harvest of various projects, the scale of the harvest will be larger and the income generated higher, providing a fair price for the local communities. The Green Intelligence believes that forests will be protected and preserved by local communities only when these communities’ profit from the landscape, creating a financial healthy and sustainable solution in the long run.
